At the invitation only Finland Global Innovation Dialogue, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Finland–Switzerland, Modirum Platforms joined senior leaders across government and industry to explore Europe’s path toward 2050. CEO Tero Silvola contributed to conversations on how emerging technologies are reshaping Europe’s strategic autonomy and long term resilience.
A fireside chat with President Alexander Stubb set the geopolitical framing for the session, followed by a panel where Silvola emphasized why secure, European built digital ecosystems are essential for trust and competitiveness.
The discussion underscored a shared view: technology is increasingly a geopolitical instrument, influencing diplomacy, alliances, and Europe’s ability to safeguard critical infrastructure.
At the Alpine Tech Forum, Evelina Georgieva, General Manager Central Europe, represented Modirum Platforms in conversations on accelerating Europe’s move toward digital sovereignty.
The dialogue focused on the new reality that civilian IT systems — in public safety, healthcare, energy, identity and communications — now function as dual use infrastructure central to Europe’s resilience.
Artificial intelligence emerged as both a strategic asset and a growing source of risk, enabling better situational awareness yet also amplifying threats such as misinformation, deepfakes, and synthetic data. The need for verification, authenticity, and human oversight was highlighted as crucial in crisis situations.
Across both events, one theme dominated: Europe’s critical infrastructure must be built to withstand technological, economic, and geopolitical pressure. Energy, telecommunications, public safety, finance, and government systems now form a strategic foundation that must remain operational under stress.
This perspective aligns directly with Modirum Platforms’ mission of protecting intelligent infrastructure and safeguarding society, supported by more than 27 years of experience delivering secure, AI driven, mission critical platforms.
